Historical Note

The mission of the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority is to promote high ideals and standards for its members throughout their lives by emphasizing balance among the four aims of intellectual, physical, social and spiritual development. The sorority was founded on November 19, 1901 at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. The Ball State University Chi Chi Chapter of the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority is inactive.
