Biographical Note / Historical Note / Administrative History
The Emens Professorship was established in 1967 to honor the twenty-three years that John R. Emens served as president of Ball State Teachers College. To recieve the honor of Emens Distinguished Professorship one must be a distinguished researcher in their field as well as an excellent teacher and scholar. Many times, the Emens Distinguished Professor would give a speech to highlight a research topic of interest. This collection holds copies of lecture programs and lecture brochures of the Emens Distinguished Professors.
