The provost and vice president for academic affairs is the chief academic officer of the university. Reporting to the president, the provost is the second ranking executive officer of the University. The office of the provost provides leadership and direction for the University's academic programs, and oversees the associate and assistant provosts, and the deans of the academic schools and colleges.
