Teachers College Dean's Office records

This collection includes records, reports, and publications from the Ball State University Teachers College Dean's Office in Muncie IN, ranging from 1929 to 2008. The materials included are agendas, reports, committee records, changes to courses and other program changes.

The collection is split into nine separate series determined by document type.

Series 1 includes annual reports ranging from 1947-1992.

Series 2 includes publications and press releses from the college from 1929-1992.

Series 3 includes subject files from the Dean's ofice from 1962-2005.

Series 4 Accreditation records series incudes paperwork, forms, and documentation on accreditation to and from North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools (NCA), National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE), and Indiana Commission for Higher Education (ICHE) Education cooperatives including special education correspondence, evaluations and other documents. Information also on physical disabilities. Quarterly reports, class rosters, financial reports and child counts are all included in education cooperatives series.

Series 5 includes correspondence, workshops, financial documents, and board documents from the Indiana Academy of Math and Sciences and Burris Laboratory School are included in the Indiana Academy and Burris Laboratory School documents series.

Series 6 includes materials from Education Cooperatives records focused on special education learinging ranging from 1998-2008 with a strong focus on 'virtual learning' projects.

Series 7 includes documents from the Community alliance to promote education (CAPE) reports, also correspondence and reports to the Lilly Endowment Inc. Also included in this series are documents and reports from The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. and the program overview and financial documents of the Priority School and other learning centers under the supervision of CAPE and the Lilly Endowment.

Series 8 includes Electronic Field Trip recording series includes student field trips, and recordings of interviews, campaigns, museum visits and other video recordings.

Series 9 includes records relating to the Teachers College Outstanding Awards for Teaching, Research, and Service.
