Biographical Note / Historical Note / Administrative History

The Ball State University Electronic Field Trips project presented a series of electronic, video, and interactive teaching resources for students building upon the field trip theme. The project, a partnership between Ball State University and a variety of museums and cultural institutions, provided students with an an "out of class" experience by creating television episodes, webisodes, web content, and lesson plans regarding the themes of each episode. At Ball State, the project served as a collaboration between the Teachers College, Teleplex, Emerging Technologies, and the Office of Information Technology. Episodes in the series ran from 1996 to 2009.
