Biographical Note / Historical Note / Administrative History
The Human Performance Laboratory at Ball State University was established in 1965 for research in excercise physiology and student training on the masters and graduate level in physiology studies. Originally begun within a small office, the laboratory now exists as 20,000 square foot facility with over 40 faculty and staff employees. Research conducted by the laboratory includes aging and excercise, microgravity and excercise, physiology of human performance, pediatric excercise, and clinical excercise. Graduate programs include a phd in Human Bioenergetics and masters programs in Excercise Physiology.
