Historical Note
The Indiana Sesquicentennial Poetry Contest was held in 1967 by the Indiana College English Association. The competition was judged by a wide panel of literary academics from across the state and the poems selected for the publication were decided upon by anonymous entries. Included within this collection are entries from over 170 Hoosier poets who entered their work in the competition. The final work was published by Ball State University and edited by Thomas H. Wetmore.
