Wooton, Ruble, and Fisher family papers
Content Description
This collection includes photographs, diaries, and a wooden stamp ranging from circa 1926 to 1969. The diaries were written by Bessie and Marilyn Ruble about their everyday lives in Wabash, Indiana and Van Buren, Indiana which included the weather, working, current events, church services, Sunday school, prayer meetings, board meetings, and household chores. In the diary by the unknown woman, who was the daughter of William C. Fisher, she includes prayers, poetry, recipes, quotes, and clippings. The wooden stamp was of Reverend Wooton. The photos were of the Fisher, Wooton, and Ruble family.

Biographical / Historical
Charles Theoplis Ruble and Sarah Ann William were married on September 6th, 1899. They had two daughters: Frances Louis Ruble who was born on May 12th, 1908, and Mabel Marie Ruble. Jennie Wooton and Andrew Leroy Wooton had their daughter Avis A. Wooton who married Frank Raymond Fisher and had their son Wendell Gene Fisher on October 7th, 1932. Bessie Mae Hiatt married William Clyde Ruble, and they had their daughter Marilyn Ruble September 30th, 1934. William passed away on April 25th, 1947. On October 5th, 1952, Marilyn married Wendell Gene Fisher where they lived in Wabash, Indiana. There they had their daughter Cynthia Kay Fisher who was born September 15th, 1959 and sadly passed away four days later.
