Historical Note
Clark S. "Doc" Lee was the editor and publisher of Gaston News from 1949 to 1954. He wrote a column in that paper entitled, "Elm Street Reporter" because the news office was located on Elm Street in Gaston, Indiana. The column featured local happenings and was published until Lee's death in 1954. A final 1961 entry by Lee's daughter, Harriette Osborne, comments on developments during the intervening seven years.
