Ernest V. Parkison was born September 17, 1914 in Delaware County. He was the son of Sara Belle Fuson Parkison and Mentor S. Parkison. Ernest grew up in Muncie and graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1932.
He was employed by Hemingray Glass Company and its successor, Owens-Illinois Glass Company until it ceased operations and he retired in 1972. His second career was at First Merchants Bank and then at Mutual Federal Bank until retirement in 1994.
Ernest had two children, a son, Thomas P. Parkison and a daughter, Patrician Lynn Parkison. His wife of 64 years, Mildred Marie (Armstrong) Parkison, passed away in 2000.
Ernest passed away November 12, 2007.
