Historical Note

In the summer of 1982, the Muncie Peace Network was established by Earl Conn (journalism professor at Ball State), John Barber (history professor at Ball State), Richard Newby (pastor of the Friends Church), John Peterson (physician in Muncie), and Father Ronald Voss ("guiding hand" of the Center for Peace and Life Studies). The Muncie Peace Network is a nonpartisan, nonsectarian alliance of persons who work for peace awareness and help others who wish to work for peace and justice. Unfortunately, no historical information could be found on the Community Committee on Peace or the Center for Peace and Life Studies.
