Historical Note

The International Travel-Study Club was organized on March 14, 1924, in Indianapolis by Adelia Cobb Artman. The purpose of the club was to provide a means for women to discuss various travel experiences. The Delaware Chapter was organized on January 13, 1941, with Gladys Pompa serving as the chapter’s first president. This collection was donated in 1995 by Hannah Taylor, the Delaware Chapter’s president at the time.
