Prow family papers
Scope and Contents
The collection contains 1118 letters of correspondence dating between the years 1820-1982. Postcards dating from 1876-1988 are also included. Fifty-nine of the postcards contain writing and dates, six have writing and no dates, and 163 have no writing at all. The collection also includes 23 greeting cards, legal papers, tax receipts, birth certificates, inventories, advertisements, etchings and various miscellaneous items dating from 1776 through the 1980s.

Frederick Prow was born in 1926 and was the son of Harold Prow. His grandfather, Frederick Prow was a prominent dentist in Bloomington Indiana. Margaret (Penny) and Frederick were married on an unknown date. Frederick's aunt, Alice (Prow) Clark, constructed the genealogical information contained in the collection.
