Historical Note
The Reticule Club women's organization was formed in Albany, Indiana, around 1912, predominately as a sewing club. The objective of the circle was the "mental and social improvement of its members, to encourage liberal interchange of thought and action along with civic improvement, school betterment, and charitable effort." The club dissolved in 1997.

Reticule Club records were received by Archives and Special Collections as a donation from Sara L. Stone on behalf of surviving Reticule club members, Mary Jean Simon and Rosemary Hart on 2001/04/12.
