Administrative History
America's Hometown Band was formed in 1985 as a not-for-profit organization to provide an opportunity for local music professionals, educators, and amateurs to perform for their own and the community's enjoyment. The band, regularly a seventeen- or eighteen-member dance band, performs several shows every year and grows to a sixty member concert band for special occasions like the Fourth of July Prelude and the New Year’s Eve Dance. All of the proceeds from the band's performances are used to help the band continue their service to the Muncie and Delaware County community.
