Historical Note
Records indicate that as early as 1868 Muncie Central High School, known then as Muncie High School, had a graduating class of six members. The original high school building, commonly known by many Muncie Indiana residents as the “old” building, opened on November 30, 1915 and was located on South High Street. In 1973 a new high school was built on North Walnut Street.

Custodial History
This collection is a combination of several donations from different donors to Archives and Special Collections. The 1927, 1929, and 1930 yearbooks were donated by Pat Barnett on 2004/01/26. Winfred J. Wagoner donated the materials ranging from 1947-1963. Other yearbooks, programs and records were donated by unidentified donors. The 1936 yearbook was donated by Sallie Noel on 2014/09/18.
