Historical Note

The old Selma High School building stood from 1904 to 1980 and served as the local high school for Selma, Indiana until 1967. Numerous students and faculty passed through the building’s doors during this period, including Art Haney. To keep in touch with former students and faculty, Art began the Bluebird Flyer e-newsletter. The newsletter is published monthly by e-mail and contains information about Selma’s history, obituaries and information on upcoming events. Subscribers are encouraged to contribute their stories about life in Selma, which can often lead to lengthy discussions in following issues.
