Historical Note
The Exchange Club of Muncie was established on March 7, 1921 by Herold M. Harter with 33 members on the original roster. For over 75 years, the club has held weekly luncheon meetings to discuss the planning and hosting of philanthropic fundraisers and other events. With the motto "Unity for Service" the Exchange Club of Muncie still works to make an impact in the community through fellowship among members and service.
Exchange clubs can be found throughout the country working towards building and serving the community. Through a number of annual events, both the National Exchange Club and the local Exchange Club of Muncie are known for their philanthropic endeavors. These endeavors include events such as the Youth of the Year award and dedications of the Freedom Shrine on a national level. The Exchange Club of Muncie also works on more community-focused philanthropic projects like the Speech and Hearing Award, Sophomore Honors Day, the dedication of Camp Sing-A-Long, and monetary donations to local foundations.
