Delaware County TEAMwork for Quality Living records

TEAMwork for Quality Living began in 1995 when a group of educators and a group of healthcare workers wanted to merge to create a positive change in the Delaware County community. In the fall of 1995, the National Civic League (NCL) was hired to help make this new group a success. With the NCL's help, the group was able to attain a list of potential stakeholders to finance the group. By February 29, 1996, more than 100 individuals were members of the organization.

The group's mission is to empower people in poverty toward self sufficiency and help create better communities. Since 1995, the organization developed the five Key Performance Areas: Citizenship, Community Services, Education, Family Development, and RACISM (Reaching Across Cultures and Investing in a Successful Muncie and Delaware County). Some of their work includes the Building Better Beginnings initiative, which is dedicated to teaching parents about infant brain development, and the Fatherhood Conference, which focused on improving parenting skills in various stages of child development.
