Biographical Note

William Gibson Dunn was born in San Francisco on October 19, 1921. He served in the 514th Squadron of the 376th Heavy Bombardment Group as a bombardier and navigator during World War II (1939-1945). He was stationed in San Pancrazio, Italy on August 18, 1944 and flew his first mission over Hungary on August 28, 1944. He flew 50 missions and 33 sorties during the war.
