The collection includes materials from the professional career, organizational memberships and committees, and publications of Betty Harris. Documents here include information pertaining to local historical, religious and women’s clubs, community service involvement, and her work as a writer. Also included are Kennedy Assassination wire reports and issues of the Muncie Evening Press covering the Kennedy Assassination in 1963.

Scope and Contents The Dorothy Hamilton Collection consists primarily of manuscripts of her books and writings, as well as newspaper clippings about Mrs. Hamilton’s work and about her activities. The Fred Graham Circus Research Collection contains a variety of circus-related materials including papers, advertisements, book materials, various publications, research material correspondence, genealogical work, membership information, postcards, show materials, programs, tickets/ticket stubs, Wait for the Muncie Boys, yearbooks, oversize material, photographs, and photograph negatives.

This collection consists of Ned Griner’s research materials for his book, Gas Boom Society. The bulk of the files are copies of news clippings from the late 1800s on a variety of topics. The majority of the clippings are from Muncie newspapers. Also included in the collection are correspondence from Marsh/Ryan family members to Griner and correspondence from Emily Kimbrough to Griner. There are two rough drafts of chapters from the book on Sports and the Holidays.

This collection includes photocopied materials from newspapers and general histories as well as histories of each lot in the Westwood community, and spans the years 1924-1999. Also included in the collection is the Editing Copy of Westwood: A 75 Year History, along with editing notes and book promotion materials. PSC 273 contains photographs of Westwood houses. V 224 is a taped interview with Bill Spurgeon.
