David Brent Cole Architectural Drawings Collection

Scope and Contents

This collection consists of 74 projects, the majority of which were created by firms in which Cole was a partner. Projects consist of architectural drawings, photographs, and other reference materials related to office buildings, churches, schools, and a variety of public structures and green spaces. Included is a collection of negatives and slides of Cole’s time at Ball State University’s College of Architecture and Planning, as well as Cole’s 1986 senior thesis.

Schuyler N. Nolan Landscape Architectural Records Collection

Scope and Contents The collection consists of records pertaining to Schuyler N. Nolan’s landscape architecture practice in Indianapolis, 1939-1973. It includes landscape and garden plans for 56 projects of various types: private homes and estates, banks, insurance companies, schools, and churches. Among the commercial clients are Glendale Shopping Center, L. S. Ayres and Co., and Indiana National Bank. Nolan also did work for Washington Park Cemetery and the 1937 Indianapolis Home Show.
