In addition, the collection contains an extra copy of the last three chapters of the second version; the pagination indicates that these chapters do not belong to the first version. The collection also includes a copy of Dr. Hoover`s curriculum vita updated to 1996.

The collection contains "The Story of Helen Gertrude Lynch," as written by her sister Alice. There are nineteen chapters in Alice's story, each with a chapter heading. Articles from various newspapers recounting the activities of Helen as well as correspondence and miscellaneous documents between the friends and family are also included.

This collection consists of Ned Griner’s research materials for his book, Gas Boom Society. The bulk of the files are copies of news clippings from the late 1800s on a variety of topics. The majority of the clippings are from Muncie newspapers. Also included in the collection are correspondence from Marsh/Ryan family members to Griner and correspondence from Emily Kimbrough to Griner. There are two rough drafts of chapters from the book on Sports and the Holidays.
