Scope and Contents

The Lathrop Johnson papers collection includes materials ranging from 1925 to 2006. The collection includes teaching materials used for Johnson's German courses at Ball State University (including exams, lecture materials, and reading lists), departmental minutes and correspondence, and collected research materials. Also included in the collection are newspaper clippings, awards, and correspondence regarding Johnson's life and career at Ball State University.

This collection includes records from Robert Sears from his career in higher education and range from 1951 to 1965. Included are notes pertaining to courses, records of departmental business and curriculum planning, examples of examinations given to students, and materials pertaining to professional conferences and meetings.
