Transportation

This collection includes publications and newspaper clippings ranging from 1941 to 1981 regarding interurban and railroad transportation. The publications include journals from the Electric Railfans' Association and the Canadian Railroad Historical Association, and the Canadian Rail journal. There are other railroad-related magazines in the collection, and a book: The Electric Interurban Railway in America.

This collection includes documents, photographs, newspaper clippings, and artifacts ranging from 1944 to 1997 regarding transporation history in Muncie and the State of Indiana. The bulk of the collection focuses on bus transportation. One file of note contains an article about journalist and news anchor Jim Lehrer's transporation collection, and included with the article is a personal, handwritten note from Lehrer to John Hardacre.

This collection contains records from the Muncie Indiana Transit System (MITS) in Muncie, Indiana for the years 1941-2012 and included Board of Directors meeting minutes and agendas, correspondence, budget information, project plans and proposals, marketing and management files, financial records, subject files, photographs, scrapbooks, and other records documenting services, routes, fares, ridership and construction primarily from 1981-2004.
